Job description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Safety Officer to implement and monitor health, safety, and environmental standards across construction sites, ensuring regulatory compliance and accident prevention.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and monitor site safety procedures and HSE policies.
Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and hazard identification.
Ensure safe execution of work at heights, scaffolding, lifting operations, and excavation activities.
Conduct toolbox talks, safety training, and emergency response drills.
Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe practices.
Monitor PPE compliance and contractor safety performance.
Maintain safety registers, inspection reports, and statutory documentation.
Coordinate with project management to implement corrective and preventive actions.
Requirements:
Degree/Diploma in Engineering or relevant discipline with a recognized Industrial Safety qualification.
5–8 years of construction site safety experience.
Knowledge of applicable safety regulations, permit-to-work systems, and HSE standards.
