Job description
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with 5–7 years of experience to oversee electrical installation, execution, testing, and commissioning activities for metro rail construction projects, ensuring quality, safety, and timely completion.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Supervise electrical works for metro stations, elevated corridors, and associated infrastructure.
* Oversee installation of HT/LT electrical systems, transformers, switchgear, distribution panels, cables, and earthing systems.
* Coordinate installation of lighting, power distribution, cable trays, and electrical equipment.
* Monitor electrical works as per approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
* Coordinate with civil, MEP, traction power, and other project teams to ensure smooth execution.
* Conduct inspections, quality checks, testing, and commissioning of electrical installations.
* Prepare material requirements, BOQs, daily progress reports, and site documentation.
* Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, applicable codes, and project quality requirements.
* Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and clients to resolve technical and execution issues.
**Requirements:**
* **Qualification:** B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical Engineering.
* **Experience:** 5–7 years in electrical execution, preferably in metro rail, railway, or large infrastructure projects.
* Strong knowledge of HT/LT systems, electrical distribution, installation, testing, and commissioning.
* Ability to interpret electrical drawings, SLDs, technical specifications, and BOQs.
* Familiarity with AutoCAD, MS Excel, and electrical project documentation.
* Knowledge of relevant IS/IEC standards and electrical safety regulations.
* Strong site coordination, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
